Gappu is one of the finest product which is completely Made in India. It is very inspiring and I am glad to endorse all the instruments made by this Indian brand.
Himadri Sekhar Das aka Appu, Specialist in acoustic drums, electronic drums, V-drums, hand drums, tabla, Cajon, khanjira, khol, dholak, Djembe, darbuka, Thumba, bongo and all kinds of percussion ensembles.
Like to play Progressive -conceptual and Indian Classical Fusion Music Style but able to play different global styles like Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, Blues, Funk, Latin and a bit of Swing.
From 2005 to 2011 played for “5th Dimension” a well known classic rock band from Kolkata and recorded an album called “Ghoom Bhenge Jaye”. From 2011 to 2018 played for a kolkata based Progressive rock band “Alienz” and performed almost 500 shows all over India.Also recorded drums and other percussions for two albums “Swapno Noe” and “Jorimana” with them. 2015….Formed an Instrumental Fusion Band “BEAT BLASTERS” and joined as a drummer with “Soumyojit & Sourendra “ Band.2016…Recorded Drums for Violin Brothers and Soumyojit-Sourendra for their Albums “Banjara” and “Just 10”. 2017…China Tour with my Band “Beat Blasters” in January. Muscat, Oman tour in April. Bangladesh tour in July. USA tour in September-October Muscat, Oman tour in November. 2018…Joined another Baul Rock Band “Thd Bolpur Blues” with Kartick Das Baul. Collaboration with the Grammy Winner Latin vocalist Ivan Santos, Marc Inti & Angela Frontera in November.
